The self-proclaimed Queen of Gangbangs rolled into the AVN Nominations party at Avalon and walked out with not one, but two heavyweight nods for her passion-project parody. And yeah, these aren’t the throwaway categories either.
Ray Ray & Hazel Grace Drop the Funniest, Sexiest Parody of the Year
Picture this: a full-on POC all-star cast turning a beloved NBC sitcom into four episodes of filthy, laugh-out-loud adult chaos. That’s “Please Hold: A XXX Parody” – cooked up by Ray Ray and Hazel Grace under her InMelanin banner.
The lineup is stupidly stacked: Lala Ivey, Mena Carlisle, Maya Ferrell, David Lee, Dreads Way, Adonis Breeds, Rico Reyes, Ray Black, Robert Gunner… even Rusty Nails and Harley Haze popping in as extras. When Ray Ray says all-star, she means it.
The Nominations That Actually Matter
The movie just locked in nominations for:
- Mark Stone Award for Outstanding Comedy
- Best Indie/Amateur Movie or Series
Those are the categories where real creativity gets rewarded instead of just budget. And for two indie women of color to grab both? That’s a middle finger to every studio that said “you need us to make it.”

Most parodies these days feel like lazy cash-grabs with a wig and a catchphrase. This one actually has jokes that land, characters you remember, and sex scenes that still scorch the screen. Ray Ray didn’t just star in gangbangs (though of course she did, it’s her brand); she produced, directed, edited, and bled for this thing.
Long-ass shoot days, brutal post-production marathons, zero studio money – and the final product still got critics shutting up and taking notes. Fans ate it up on rayrayxxx.com and InMelanin, plus it’s out on two physical DVDs for the collectors.

The full ceremony goes down January 24, 2026 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. If Ray Ray and Hazel Grace take home even one of these trophies, expect the indie scene to explode even harder. They’ve already shown you don’t need a big studio to make something iconic.
